Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Athens sightseeing

After breakfast Our guide will take you to the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (short stop). Then, you will pass by the Prime Minister's residence (ex Royal Palace) guarded by the Euzones in their colourful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma).

On the hill of the Acropolis, you will admire the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens:  The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts order in the mind", the Parthenon. Afterwards, you shall arrive to the Acropolis Museum where at last the statues and many masterpieces of the Classical Era found home.

Free afternoon to visit Plaka, the hill of Lycabetus and the National Garden. Overnight. 

Day 3: Delphi

Departure through Thebes, Levadia and Arachova for Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. Pass by Castalia Spring, visit the archaeological site and the Museum of Delphi. Afternoon free. Overnight in Delphi.

Day 4: Delphi-Kalambaka

Morning free. In the afternoon depart through Central Greece and the cities of Lamia, Trikala to Kalambaka, a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks, and, crowned by the Meteora Monasteries. Overnight in Kalambaka. 

Day 5: Meteora

Leave in the morning for nearby Meteora to visit the Byzantine Monasteries. Return to Athens passing by the heroic monument of Leonidas at Thermopylae. Overnight in Athens.       

Day 6: Free day in Athens

The entire day is free to discover Athens the oldest capital in Europe. Overnight.               

Day 7: One day cruise

In the morning transfer by bus, Athens to Piraeus, for your cruising adventure.

We depart for Hydra at 8.30 am and arrive at about 11.45 am. Once on the island, you have time for a walk or a swim. At: 13.30 we embark for Aegina passing by Poros and the seashore of Peloponnesus. We have lunch on board. We arrive at Aegina at 15.30 and head to the beach. Also, there is an optional excursion, by bus, to the fine preserved Temple of Afea Athena. At: 18.00 we leave Aigina and return to the Piraeus port late in the evening. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight.

Day 8: Departure

Having finished your breakfast in your hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
